How to get here

Athlone is situated in the heart of Ireland and has a very good network of private and public transport servicing it. It is also serviced by the M6 motorway. Travelling time from Dublin Airport to Athlone is approximately 1.5 hours.
Irelands main international airports are at Dublin, Shannon, Cork, Knock, Kerry and Galway. In Northern Ireland it is Belfast International and Belfast City Airport. Dublin is the most central airport to fly into. Getting the Bus Eireann service to Athlone from Dublin Airport is simply a matter of exiting arrivals hall crossing over to the short term car park and the bus fleet is adjacent to you. Buses leave the airport every hour and travel to Galway stopping in Athlone station where we will meet you and take you to the hotel. Buses leave from city centre at Bus Aras and there is a regular train service from Heuston Station. Bus Eireann travels twice daily from Knock Airport to Athlone (Link to Bus Eireann Knock). From Shannon Airport there is a regular service from Shannon to Athlone via Galway.
Travelling by Ferry
The main ferry port in Dublin is Dun Laoighre and is serviced by Irish Ferries, Stenna Line and P&O. Rosslare port in the South East of the country is serviced Irish Ferries, Stenna Line and Celtic Line. Cork port is serviced by Brittany Ferries from France.
